Hi Guys! Today I’m sharing patchwork in my Polly Dress from Fibre Mood. I got to try something different with this pattern and I’m excited to share!
So I got to try a new Fibre Mood pattern before it was released and I can finally share it with you all! Introducing the Polly Dress Pattern from Fibre Mood. This pattern is a super easy tiered maxi dress that was designed for the user to make it with some kind of patchwork design. You can make the maxi version with all 3 tiers or remove a tier for a mini length or remove 2 tiers for a shirt version. The choice is yours.
I made a size large based on my bust measurements and I made the maxi version, which was the perfect length for me. I’m a shorty and always have to shorten my long dresses and I didn’t have to do that this time around. Now for the patchwork it’, I used leftover Ankara fabric I had. I made each square 8×8 and just glued them together. I also used different fabrics together to make 8×8 squares.
I had so much fun making this dress and I really love the way it came out. It’s unique and I know no one else with be wearing or making the same dress. I want to make all my makes out of patchwork fabric now. lol The only thing I kind of regret is that I could have made the squares larger to make the process a little quicker. ALSO, I didn’t add pockets. 🙁 Next time!
