Hi Guys! I’ve been away WAY too long. I’ve missed you all. I can’t believe my last post was months ago. A lot has happened since then that I need to share. We held South Florida Frocktails, I got to go the Chicago Frocktails and lots of sewing in between! Standby for my catch up blog posts. For now, I’m sharing a review for New Look 6782 that I sewed up a few months ago. This is a great beginner pattern because there aren’t too many seams and it makes a stylish outfit.
Pattern Description:
New Look Sewing Pattern Misses’ Knit Top and Skirt. Pullover crew neck top has puffed sleeves and drawstring on the sides of the waist. Skirt with elasticized waistband and figure-hugging fit comes in midi length with side slit.
Pattern Sizing:
S – XXL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
It looked exactly like that pattern envelope when I was done sewing it.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
This pattern is categorized as easy and I agree. The patten instructions were very straight forward and easy to follow along.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked everything about this pattern. It was exactly what I wanted to make and I love wearing it. I’m a sucker for a matching set and have made many.
Fabric Used:
I found this plisse pink fabric at Hobby Lobby and fell in love as soon as I saw it. I also purchased it in green.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn’t make any alterations to the pattern at all. I made it just as instructed and didn’t have to mak any modifications.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I would sew this again. The next time I make it I will be sizing down. Remember that this pattern calls for a stretch fabric and I would recommened to size down if you want a more fitted look.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, make this pattern! If you are looking for a complete look and a quick sew, then this is the pattern for you. I promise you will not be dissapointed. I hope you like this look as much as I do!
Until next time,
Johanna
