Hello!
I recently saw a pattern tester call that I just had to answer. It was for Designer Stitch Patterns Eleni Top/Tunic/Dress. This pattern has so many different design options that the possibilities are endless. You have the option of making it into a top, tunic or a maxi dress and also different sleeve options. Oh and did I mention that there is a flounce option too? This pattern was just released and will be on sale for an entire week. You can get your PDF of the Eleni top HERE. Here is my version of the my version of the Eleni Top from Designer Stitch Patterns.
You can make this as a long sleeve, short sleeve, 7/8 sleeves and a tiered sleeve option. You can also add a flounce option to any of the mentioned options. For the lengths you can make this as a top, tunic, knee-length or a maxi. Who doesn’t need a new dress? Then you can add an optional neck tie, waist tie or straps to the top. Lastly, there was a shoulder modesty cover added for the ladies that do not want their shoulders exposed.
I chose to make my Eleni top using this beautiful Ankara Fabric I purchased from a group on Facebook. This is 100% cotton fabric that is very suitable for this top. The pattern calls for light weight fabrics and I thought this cotton would be perfect for it. I decided to make a size 5 and I made mine a sleeveless option. I also cut my elastic at 35 inches.
I love the necktie option and decided to tie in a bow in the front.
Here I decided to tie the necktie to the back. I love the way it looks. I think it looks like a custom-made choker.
This pattern is so on trend and the instructions were very simple to follow. I am so in love with the Eleni top and I plan on making several different options. I think I might make the long sleeve option next and then probably a dress. What do you think of the Eleni top?

2 thumbs up!!! I love this top. The material is so vibrant and the fit is perfect!
Thank you so much! I love this fabric too. I can’t wait to make more.
This came out nicely! Does the pattern include a shelf bra?
Hi Abbey. Thanks so much. This pattern does not come with a shelf bra. If you are sew savvy enough, I’m sure you could add one. I just wore a strapless bra with mine. The pattern also comes with strap options so you could wear a regular bra as well.
