Hi Guys! Today I’m sharing FASHION SHOW WEEK LOOK #5. My apologies for making you wait! This is one of my favorite looks from the fashion show. I made McCall’s 7757 view D and a self drafted swing maxi skirt with pockets.

Have you been following along with me during my FASHION SHOW WEEK? If you missed the last 4 days, you can get all caught up here: day 1, day 2, day 3, and day 4.
Model: Stephanie
Social Media: IG @stephlareina
Top: McCall’s 7757 view D
Skirt: Self drafted swing skirt with pockets using tutorial found HERE.
Fabric: Purchased from House of Mamiwata
African Print Fabric/ Ankara – Purple & Blue ‘Rosebuds’, YARD or WHOLESALE can be ordered HERE. Denim was purchased in LA Fashion District.
Construction
Top: Based on Stephanie’s body measurements, I made a size Medium. I followed the pattern instructions when sewing it together.
Skirt: For this amazing skirt, I used a tutorial I purchased from @iamcharissarenee. I’ve purchased several of her classes and they are all excellent. She teaches you exactly how she makes these skirts for her customers.
Modifications
For the top, I increased the length by 2 inches. That was the only modification I made.

Thanks for following along on my journey. I have 1 more look to go and I’ll also be sharing a video of my models in motion! You don’t want to miss that.
Until next time,
Johanna
